Artisan Homes, owned and operated by John Oudshoorn, has been in business in Coaldale since June 2006. In addition to building start-to-finish homes, this versatile company offers exterior renovations, additions, decks and all types of general carpentry. Currently they are framing and drywalling the large Netherlands Reformed Church west of Coaldale. Artisan Homes is one of the first businesses in Southern Alberta to offer easy rock stone, a polyurethane material crafted to look remarkably like real stone. A Certified Journeyman Carpenter, John believes strongly in education for himself and his employees. He makes his home in Coaldale with wife Jayme and 10-month-old daughter Legacy.
